No real art this time, just though I would show my backup workstation. When ever I visit my parents, I basically turn my fathers computer desk into a work area, which usually annoys him, but like a good dad, he puts up with it. On the desk you will see various inks, brush pens and watercolors I transport home with me.

Anyways, no art this time, just thought I would come on here and pimp my fellow comic comrade, and pal Adam Geen and his new book Shuddertown, which will be coming out from image in March I believe. From what I have seen so far , Adam is doing a really solid and badass job on the art chores, and from what he's told me about the premise, it sounds pretty cool, so in March Be sure to go to your local comic shop and grab copy, cause if you don't, I'll break your kness.....seriously.

MY GOD!!, I havcn't posted on this thing in months, time is honestly going way to fast, I mean holy christ in a casket it's almost christmas, so I figured I should post something. about a month or so ago I decided to jump on the bandwagon and do up some sketch cards, and because I am a freak for anything batman, I decided to choose that as my theme, each one of these are done in watercolor, ink, and a whiteout pen.

This was done for an art battle with my buddy Mike over on his blog ( http://30minutesoffury.blogspot.com/ ) and of course the details of the battle was a time limit, so i had pound this one out in about 45 mins, overall I feel this turned out pretty decent, though with more time I think I could have done a better job,not much rough went into this, I just kind of dove in with the ink and watercolor, so I hope ya dig, look for more of these battles peices from myself and Mike every two weeks.

This is a quick comission I did for a guy at my work, for some reason Im not feeling this one as much as I thought, though the guy loved it, I think I went alittle overboard with the ink splatter, but I still had fun working on it, it's a mix of ink, ink wash, and white out pen, hope ya dig.

So yeah this is usually what happens when I get bored. Lately I've been on this fan art stint, so basically this whole page is nothing but fan art from a few things that I am really into, Such as Gurren Lagann, Sheldon Vella's Supertron, and of course Team fortress. lLike always I use watercolor and ink, and that huge black area, is there to cover something I didn't like, so yeah, just crap from my sketchbook, hope ya digs.

P.S: I suck at Mech, so Gurren turned out kinda crappy.

yes I am posting again. so here is a fun little snip from my sketchbook, believe it or not, I am just getting into Team Fortress 2 ( mad late I know ) so what started as just a sketch of the Pyro, turned into me drawing as many of the characters as I could, the only one I am missing is the Solider ( which I really don't like him anyways ) I generally like how this turned out, but Im one of those bitchy artists, that usually hates everything they draw, but hope you dig it, as always is a mix of watercolor and ink.

it's been awhile since I've posted anything, work has been keeping me crazy busy. BUT!, here is something I've been sorta working on, off and on for a month or so, most people that know me, know that Im a huge western fan, So this is the first solid design I've done for my own version of Wyatt Earps story, so well, this is Wyatt, I think I will probably go back and tweak somethings, but so far so good, Mediums used on this puppy, ink and watercolor.

SUPER HERO WEDNESDAYS ( DareDevil Yellow)

Turns out that my day off from the grind of the day job, is usually Wednesdays, so Ive decided to start SUPERHERO WEDNESDAYS, basically every Wednesday I will upload a new sketch of a DC, Marvel, or Darkhorse character, this was sparked by the recent Shazam peice I did last week, and I just figured it would be alot of fun, plus each one will be up for sale, online and at Conventions.

So this week I give you my version of DareDevil Yellow. When it comes to the man without fear, yellow is version I dig the most. I have to be honest, Im not really that happy with how this one turned out, I don't dig it as much as the Shazam one, but still I had a blast drawing it, and about the pink nose, and lips, well thats just a little personal touch of mine,so yeah, deal with it. This one is a mix of Watercolor and ink, and Im sure your wondeirng why I always take digital pics of my peices, well I just like the look of it, it looks more raw, when you see elements of my materials and workspace around the drawing, well I hope you dig.

SHAZAM!!!!!!

My Aussie brother in arms Hugh and I decided to do an art trade, and well he asked for Captain Marvel himself SHAZAM!!, and I asked for Two Face ( naturally ). So when I sat down to draw this I decided I didn't want to do the normal Shazam, I wanted to do my version of him, so here it is. Im pretty sure if I ever got the chance to actually do a Shazam Story, this is how I would draw him, I like the idea of making him look alittle more aged, and hard, like he's been through many epic battles, and has the scars to show it. So hopefully Hugh digs this, it's a mix of Watercolor, ink, and Marker.

Well here is the first in a series of watercolor peices im doing for an up coming zine fest in Toronto, each one is done on 7X10 140 cold press watercolor paper, with of course watercolor, ink and a lighter, these will go for about 25 bucks, I do custom ones if anyone is interested, just email me and we can work something out. OH MY GOD IM POSTING!!, yeah I know it's been awhile, Ive been pretty busy getting ready for this weekends Fanexpo in T.O, drawing till my hand falls off. But Im proud to say Im pretty much done, so I thought I would give all you cats a peek at what I'll have on sale. This year I decided to jump on the bandwagon and do some sketch cards, these are full color marker peices that I'll be selling for about 8 bucks a card, they measure about 6x8. Here you'll see three of them, The Maxx, Two Face, and Piccolo, three characters I don't draw often, but seriosly enjoyed drawing for these, oh and sorry for the shitty cam pics I need to get a new scanner.

One of my all time fav artist, and biggest influences when it comes to art and life in general, has realeased a new artbook called " MUST WARN OTHERS ", and who might this dude be, well none other they Greg Titus. Yeah I know, no art, I just thought I would update on the progress of a few things.

Ive finally entered that home stretch for my book Black Grease, I got about 5 pages left, but I have yet think of the cover, and I guess it's getting to be about that time I should, the problem is, nothing has really come to mind, I have ideas, but nothing really concrete, nothing that makes me want to pull out a fresh piece and start going to work, so I guess best thing to do is sit on it, and hopefully I get that spark Im looking for.

since Im getting close to finishing out the first book of Black Grease Ive decided to hold off on my paintings, which is really hard, cause have a major itch to do some, but I have started getting some boards ready, primed a couple 8x10's with some Montana shock yellow, which will make a really badass background color, so hopefully in a couple weeks I can get to those, got some cool ideas worked out.

RETURN OF THE HUMEDEX!

Hey all, it's been a long as time since I have given and sort of thought to this blog, but with the pending con season, I decided it's time to get this thing started up again. Mind you even though this blog has been dead for a few months, doesn't mean I haven't been busy, between the day job and me busting my ass on my new comic, I really haven't had much time to myself, but on the other hand, the book is shaping up nicely, been pretty happy with the pages and I really hope to get some pages up on here some time soon.

So here are the things I am working.

BLACK GREASE: This is said comic, the first issues is almost in the bag, and will be printed and all that jazz by August, meaning it's debut is the FANEXPO in Toronto at the end of August, Im really excited for this year, I personally think it will be a good one. For those who don't know what black grease is about, it's basically a Rock & Roll western, about two Gunslinger brothers that are doubled crossed by a crimeboss, and well the decide to kick the fuckers ass, it has alot cools things like zombies, Mutants, and Vampire hitmen, so yeah hopefully people dig it.

DRAWN OF THE DEAD: The FANEXPO also marks the debut of DRAWN OF THE DEAD STUDIOS, Ive teamed with my good friend Dave O'Neil to basically have a banner to put our creative ideas under, Dave and I share alot of common ground when it comes to design and stories so it was really only Natural to finally combine our efforts together. We have alot of great things planned so stay tuned for that.

NEW PAINTINGS: Ive finally started getting my ass back into painting which is a cool thing, Ive kind of missed it, right now Im working on a small series called TENGU AT LARGE, basically the subject matter of each painting, is well, the Tengu, Ive always been fasinated by the Folklore and art of the Tengu, so I figure why not paint my version of them, plus I also have a Tengu at large short story I would like to draw sometime soon, it's pretty rad, and of course I will try and share some on here, other then the Tengu series, I hope to just paint alot of cool random stuff, Lately Ive been looking at alot of Tim Biskup, Mahfood, Lou Romano, and this rad cat at my work Bryce Huffman's work, so it's really inspired me to paint again.

well thats all I got I guess, Im going to try and update more on a regular bases, so yeah thats it's
onward and upward.
